Bright as day

2018

Bright as Day, captures the mysterious side of Helsinki through one long winter night. Captured on film and spanning 17 hours, it includes blurry photos, people, fog, a seagull, artificial flowers and three Christmas trees. The darkness of the night merges the city's buildings into the background and hides it's inhabitants. Only illuminated signs and windows remain as a reminder of life beyond the twilight. Through this series I seek to remind us of how fascinating our surroundings can be when viewed in a different light.
